Feelings like choice, dislike, fear, joy, anger, etc. are expressed by the child through art activity. We can express such feelings verbally, but the child does not have enough vocabulary so he can express good or bad feelings through drawing, pottery, painting, scissors, water play etc.
Language development
The language of a child develops as much as the child interacts with others. Stories, songs, plays, puppet shows, tours, festivals, etc. help in language development.
Development of intelligence
All the activities help in the development of the child's intelligence. Especially the different concepts. Shape, color, size, distance etc.
Education through game, knowledge with jokes
Our teaching method is already based on teaching through play. Sport doesn't just mean different games. The child is given full scope of choice of activity. He chooses the activity he wants and decides for himself how to do it. The teacher does not interrupt or interfere. The teacher does not give instructions on how to make a model. Before each activity begins, the teacher explains what happens and what does not. For example, paint should not be put in the mouth, scissors should not hit anyone, etc.
All of these activities give the child a chance to make decisions, develop their own imagination, and find solutions to problems. The child learns everything at the end of the year from different activities and experiments without the stress of learning: independent decision making power, problem solving skills, thinking independently, ability to understand others, confidence, self-reliance, fearlessness, leadership etc.
For example, if a teacher calls a horse, a parrot, a banana, or a color by name ten times, it does not come to mind or forgets in a short time. Instead, let the child see the same thing, talk about it, let him observe, let the child ask questions about it, show him pictures. Arrange the pictures with the words on the bulletin board in the class and weave them in the story-songs so that it will remain in the memory of the child forever.
Celebration of festivals
Festivals of every religion were celebrated in Chetan Kindergarten. The celebration was organized by the teachers and parents together. The child gets to know various aspects like our culture, festivals, music, food.
We also experimented with the use of parental skills. Some of the parents worked with the children considering their occupation, skill, willingness to work voluntarily and convenience of time. From which the children got different information. Some mothers expressed a desire to work in the classroom with the children. They were trained for a few days.
The biggest advantage of this is that he got the full idea of the knowledge through the method-game that works in kindergarten. Understanding what is meant by learning without stress. My experience is that learning without stress is not difficult at all if parents are given proper understanding and cooperation.
Birthday celebrations:
Inviting the child's parents on the child's birthday and having dinner with the children. Having lunch with children and teachers. As part of the celebration, the child would bring a plant and plant it. The name of the plant and the baby were hung on it. The responsibility of caring for the seedlings, watering was left to the child. This instills in the child a habit of responsibility and care.
